  July 1, 2012 - Full straw to pale golden yellow. Lovely bright, fragrant nose, slightly oxidative and floral with a nice scent of almond blossom. Nose hints at richness or even sweetness but the palate is nicely dry with a rich attack and a slightly oily, viscous texture across th emid-palate before tightening and finishing quite long and minerally. Really very nice indeed and a good bridge between the more modern and the traditional oxidative style of Rioja - definately in the latter camp but not so full-on that it will scare the novice. ***
