In 2 hours a red cherry scent also appeared, and I am sure if the bottle has lasted, it would have become more pronounced.
The wine has a great deal of density to it, something I do not always note in wines, but do always find in wines made by Paul Lato. More pomegranate and herbs coming through here on the palate. The juice/fruit component seems big, but not overpowering. At the 2 hour mark, I am getting some more dark fruit like blueberry or cherry.
This bottle was really great throughout the evening, a great SRH pinot that while featuring fruit first, does not let itself get out of control.3,402 views
