  August 25, 2012 - Opened bottle 2 hours prior to drinking but did not decant (which would have helped). Huge nose & palate fruit profile - almost port like. With BBQ this is hard to put down. Blackberry, blueberry, mint on nose & palate - some pepper / baking spice on the finish as well. Mouthwatering acidity (what holds this wine together) but tannins are well integrated & you don't notice the alchohol. Full body with medium length finish - a unique wine. 90+/- My wife and in-laws loved this wine - this is not a sipper and needs food. I prefer their petite sirah to this wine although this wine has a fair amount of petite sirah.
