  August 29, 2012 - Silky, almost ethereal, texture, not a hint of tannin, but still with a strong, bracing backbone of acid. A terrific wine and not merely because it is over 40 years old, although that was part of the pleasure. Still has lots of life in it and could turn out to be as good as the 42 I had last year. Outstanding
