  August 31, 2012 - I was blown away by this wine. It is young.....especially for a riserva...but the power and flavor it packs now....combined with the potential it teases you with me.....combine to make this wine is something special. The nose after two hours is familiar at first....then just keeps adding layers of dark chocolate, dark fruit, and just enough oak. You think you have smelled this wine...but then it keeps adding nuances. This same theme continues on the palate. Huge...but not new world huge. It does not shout at your palate because it doesn't have to. Opened 1st of 2 that I own.....the next one I am going to wait st least five years. 97 now. Could be 99-100 in five years.
