  August 30, 2012 - Purple color. Grenache fruit nose. Cranberry, tea, clove. Medium acidity, deft on the tongue with good lift. Finish is tasty, more of the same cranberry and tea with a touch of the '07 heat.
  
  Charvin is a strange wine insofar as it tastes very much the same from vintage to vintage. This of course is excellent news if you love the house style, but as a casual fan it detracts a bit from the excitement and potential.
