December 3, 2012 - Color is deep but fading to brick. Nose also shows signs of fatigue with aromas of ash, leather quite a lot of VA in the form of nail varnish and fruit which is black and raisiny/plummy. Palate is much better though. Very powerful tannins, high acidity yet there is still has some fruit and overall feel is very energetic. Cries out for food. Drinkable and even enjoyable but past its best for sure.
