  December 7, 2012 - Friday Night Wine 12/7 - Double Diamond Vertical with a ringer: Tasting notes on morning-after leftovers, so they've had some air. Had next to '08 and '10 Bomber X. Another wine I haven't had in a while...
  
  My first impression was that this was shut down compared to the other two, and from the last time I had it. I think it might be in a bit of a weird place right now. Very muted overall to me.
  
  I really notice blackcurrant and dust in the nose, not much else. Not much fruit in the palate to go with the toasty oak, but I swear there's a hint of orange peel, and my wife gets kiwi. Like the '08, I just feel like something is missing here.
  
  It's a decent wine, and I think if you didn't drink them young, sit on them for now.
