December 8, 2012 - Tasted blind with a group. Guessed by all as white Burgundy, although there are some honeyed, herbal notes that made the guess slightly confusing. Spice on the nose suggested oak in an aged white but the color is still fresh. Chablis came up but the lack of seashell and our interpretation of the aromatics as being oak related led us to guess an older Puligny with moderate to low oak from 2006. We were wrong and, in fact, this has no oak at all. Admirable spice for a wine made in tank. We all enjoyed this a great deal. Excellent QPR.
