  January 12, 2013 - Light, almost strawberry color (more like a Pinot noir), with moderate viscosity and shows a bit of age. Nose is of light red berries and charcoal with some mint. Flavors are flinty, minty and raspberry. Mouthfeel is a bit light and minerally. There is some acidity on the finish but the aftertaste doesn't last very long. These notes are taken immediately after decanting.after another few hours I expected this to dry out and die...but it didn't, it showed lots of finesse, softened in the mouth but also maintained its delicate flavors. It went great with grilled filet mignon and roasted rosemary, truffle potatoes. Originally scored 89, I upgraded it later in the evening.
