Community Tasting Note

  • tp096255 Does not like this wine: 86 points

    February 1, 2013 - ---
COLOR: Medium brickish-garnet, with brick rim.
NOTE: Methinks this is becoming an old soldier fast. It looks old to start with, very brick-colored. The nose smells like old cherry cough syrup that's been infused with herbs de provence. The mouth is medium weight, tastes like brandied cherries from Italy and has a hint of leather. The finish has noticeable heat, more of the brandied cherries and finishes with some tobacco and tar. Not flawed but not really an enjoyable ride here folks. Spend your money on a better year for this wine and you won't regret it.
