  February 20, 2013 - BYOB Tasting Menu Meritage (Meritage, St. Paul): Very dark red color with moderate bricking. Slow-O for 3.5hrs followed by 1.5hr decant. Drank 1+ glass over 60 minutes. Nose shows florals, spice, some funk and earth, graphite, cassis. The palate shines and shows a somewhat more feminine character, lead pencil, charcoal, cassis, black cherry, fine grain moderate tannins, nice acid, a little meaty, underbrush. Medium plus finish. 92+pts.
