  When I was a young man I bought overpriced wines I could not afford. Now that I am older, I buy overpriced wines I can afford. In this case I got a bargain. This is the real deal and I'm ready for it. Duck breasts on the grill, Greek salad in the making. Sam Cooke. This wine is outstanding. A big swish and swirl and I get the full frontal effect. Don't bother to sort through the spices and fruit. This wine is art, just let it flow over you. Now I know what Charlemagne was fighting for. Nice. Very nice.

  6/8/13, 9:05 AM - Fabulous, delightful note, Mr. Palette49. I was able to get a bottle on auction. Having been to Aachen, and having seen the grave of Charlemagne, this makes me look forward to it even more.
