  March 13, 2013 - Decanted 1 hr. ahead. Deep ruby color. Very nice nose with a package of aromas including hard spices, rhubarb, black cherries, tea notes. Delicious flavors that combine plum, cherry, and leather in a medium body with moderately firm acidity. Neither soft nor tart, a sweet spot. Finishes nicely with a bit of grip, licorice notes, and velvety tannins that are light but present. This is a consistently excellent bottle of vino, full of flavors and aromas in a well-balanced package; it might be even better after a couple of years. And, at $21 one of the best QPRs in CA. One needs to acquire this wine.
