  April 1, 2005 - Lots of fruit even just after opening. Unexpected refinement from this blending grape. Bottle advises opening an hour before drinking but, surprisingly fruity just after opening. Definitely finish this bottle the same day it is opened. It loses that luscious fruitiness by the next day even with careful vacuum storage. A good bargain and different at around $12-13/bottle it belies the rather irreverent references to Carignan such as "base for jug wines in California, South of France & Italy. I would assume the soil of Sulcis and the weather came together in a very nice way to produce this wine.
