March 27, 2013 - Raisin and dried-grape on the nose with the tint of spice. Powerful and overwhelmingly alcohol on the palate; again, raisin and dried grape feeling. Very rare feeling of tannins and the residual sugar. The structure already exhibits some complexity and aging. Long finished with the mineral feeling.

This is the ideal style of Amarone, the textbook version. However, without any obvious characteristic for this wine, it seems to getting lost among the Amarones out there. Great wine? Yes. Should buy one? It's depend. I think some Amarone vendors do a better job. It is a good introduction to the Amarone, but not the great one.

With all due respect, sometimes the textbook style is somewhat boring.
