May 3, 2013 - This time I get aromas of white flowers, apricot, butterscotch, lemon, melon, poached pear and baked apple. After about a half hour, the initial apricot and butterscotch aromas disappeared. The flavors consisted of soft lemon, melon, poached pear and baked apple. Succulent and viscous in the mouth. Seemingly rich fruit. A medium spicy finish. Again, the wine paired well with Thai food. However, the wine did not seem to have as strong a structure as when drunk only two months ago. It was like drinking a wine at the end of its drinking plateau. That is, it became softer and much of its substance seemed to disappear as the night went on. This was again confirmed when I tasted the wine the next morning. My thoughts are that the wine does not have much time left. I'm putting the rest of my bottles in the "drink them up soon" bin.
