May 23, 2013 - This review is for Dominus Estate - not Napanook.
From a 6L bottle. Decanted for about 1-2 hours. Classic aged cabernet/bordeaux color of purple, red and brown. Brickish color meniscus with clear edges. Big nose of cassis, cherry, leather, earth and smoke - much like a right bank bordeaux with some age. Super-velvety texture that is smooth, soft and somewhat unctous. Full-bodied with ripe, rich, deep fruit flavors and nice complexity. Lingering, fruity finish. This is a very sensual wine with the cabernet franc component showing up loud and clear. Not a lot of structure, this wine is mostly about all the lush texture, richness and depth. A beautiful wine to drink.4,391 views
