June 29, 2013 - Dark brown. Nose of molasses, honey, lemon rind. Taste mouth coating-literally!-richest of the rich, very sweet, very long lasting. Whaps you upside the head with a 2x4, subtlety be damned.

6/29/13, 8:53 PM - I agree, that this stuff is so good. Did you have the 375ml or the emergency 100ml size? I've had both and thought the 375ml was a bit better. I think with air time this stuff gets even better! It dances across your mouth with flavors shooting out left and right, without feeling heavy or cloying. Essensczia is the best. More like an elixir than a wine, but still a wine to have on the bucket list, if not 2 or 3 other bottles of a different vintners Essencia as well.

6/30/13, 4:37 AM - I actually meant a 500ml bottle. It seems that every vintage the choose different sizes in Tokaj. I am looking at some Hetszolo Essenscia and '99 comes in 500ml and '01 comes in 375ml. I have even seen the 187ml in some Essencias. Crazy good stuff. It can age forever!
