Nose was decently fresh when chilled properly but when it warmed up a bit the honeyed tropical fruits came through with a noticeable amount of vanilla oak. The palate had more of the honey fruit and even a bit of sherried notes. Noticeable oak, didn't have the lift and acidity that I've come to expect from Rhys chards. I'm guessing this was an off bottle, at least I hope so.
