    July 6, 2013 - The bottle had been questionably stored before I got it, so our expectations were fairly low...but wow, it was in fine shape! Some stickiness around the capsule and cage--but the fill was still excellent (above the base of the neck). Cork popped when opened, and it still had plenty of fine bubbles.

    Initially very mushroomy and funky on the nose, it eventually blew off and evolved into more nutty aromas. Dark, golden honey body with lots of orange marmalade, some almond, and smooth, fine bubbles. Lingering finish with balanced acidity.

    It took a few minutes to really start opening up, but then seemed to fade within about an hour.
