  September 23, 2013 - My first FM wine and I loved it! I sort of have a Right Bank slant to my tastes so I was excited to open this bottle. Decanted and allowed to breathe for about 1.5 hrs. This wine is very dark in the glass with a lovely rich color. The nose is dominated by dark stone fruit and bramble. It is still a bit tight.......but I wanted to try before I ordered more! Very drinkable right now but will definately be better with a few more years. Tannins are ever present but there is good acidity along and it is not hot with alcohol. Very fruit foward in the taste but not a fruit bomb. Paired with 14 day old dry aged ribeye steaks. Perfect. Am looking foward to Day 2 with the other half bottle tonight.

  9/23/13, 11:07 PM - Series IV is my favorite of the FM line up. No reason to drink you g. If you like RB blends try and find AW 2009 Ciel du Chevalier. Half Merlot and half Cab Franc. A Cheval Blanc from WA if their ever was one. I need to find some still. Not as heavy with the Oak but they do use it. I ruled out Rasa this year as I was unimpressed by their Spring whites price and quality-wise. For reds there were better offers for that kind of money.

  9/25/13, 11:58 AM - Not really. I actually wrote the comment during Day two while drinking the last of the bottle. Tried to stay true to Day one observations but I may have muddled it a bit.
