  April 27, 2005 - This $100+ wine was poured at a tasting last weekend. Parker gave it a score of 94 but I just don't see it. Scubarex who also tasted it agreed if I recall. Very nice nose of vanilla and toasted oak. However, it appeared to be rather astringent on the palate. This simply overwhelmed the fruit in my opinion. The finish also seemed to fade a bit. Perhaps it is just closed. We shall see. However, I would not want to take the chance. 86-87 points.
