  November 18, 2013 - Beautiful ruby color - starting to show a touch of orange at rim. The nose is kind of tame - takes some coaxing to reveal itself. When it does there is some tobacco leaf and red fruit. The palate, like the nose, is subtle. The balance is pretty if the flavor profile is more masculine. Certainly a good wine but it lacks some flavor impact – as a lover of wines that are elegant, this lacks depth of truly great examples. Based on this and past bottles, I think people are giving this wine a pass because of the producer. I like it, but can't say much more than that. Disappointing. (88)
