  February 7, 2004 - I have a lot of '96 Medocs socked away in storage - but tonight I finally tasted one of them from a friend's bottle. This blew me away - from the incredibly pure and ripe nose of cassis fruit to the wonderfully creamy texture of the mid-palate and the long, rich finish. I'm glad I have some of this, but this tasting makes me think I need to get some more.
