4/15/14, 3:01 PM - henry, I really think you are negatively biased against portuguese wines. If you are not fond of Riojas and Ribera del Dueros you should stay away from them all together. I think Pinot may be a better grape for you.

4/16/14, 1:33 AM - If you read my notes for other Portuguese wines, you'll find that they are some of my favourite wines. Also very keen on Rioja and Ribera del Duero (as you'll see from reading my tasting notes.) I liked this particular wine as you can see from the fact that I ticked the 'I like this wine' box. I think you might be a bit mad.

4/16/14, 2:34 PM - mad, like crazy, listen I did not insult you or your book writting skills. On the other hand if you call a wine grippy or tannic I would safely assume you did not like it unless you like to hurt your palate. I see your a Burgundy lover so that is a more mellow less biting overpriced grape.

4/17/14, 12:16 AM - Tannic & grippy means it's young. I'd suggest either waiting to drink it or decanting and don't drink it on its own. It doesn't mean I don't like it. I write these notes as a shorthand for myself. They can be a little terse but if I tick, 'I like this wine', it's a good sign that I found it enjoyable.
