  July 7, 2007 - This was a fun starter while I tended the grill. As Eric said, this is as old school Rioja as it gets. Still showing a deep color with hints of bricking on the rim the wine offers up a melange of aged ripe fruit along with earth and spice. This wine evolved considerably in a positive direction throughout the night never falling apart. I will drink the last of these soon.
