  August 19, 2014 - Controversial at the table due to some astringency on the finish which increased as the wine sat in the glass. But alternative sips yielded a beautiful, finely complex wine with wonderful smoky dark fruits along with truffles, roasted game and coffee notes. The finish is finely complex. This is a gorgeous Unico but the astringency is a concern going forward. Perhaps not the right food pairing?
