August 24, 2014 - i bought this wine because it is viewed as a great value for the money. While it did taste better after it had breathed for about 30 minutes, it was a great value for the money. At first it was a little on the acidic side, but the second glass really mellowed out and offered a silky texture, well balanced wine. While not as complex as an expensive CA red, at $8.00/bottle it would easily be a party favorite, we were also drinking LaCrema Pinot, and while the Pinot was slighly more complex it was much thinnner, this was a fuller bodied, dark cabarnet for under $10. If you are looking for a crowd pleaser this would be a good one.

The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry. It tastes like black currant (cassis) and blackberry. The body is medium. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has low acidity.
