  September 17, 2014 - A beautiful, structured vintage for Cheval with a glorious perfume of smoky earth, violets and minerals. On the palate, it's firm but full and really needed time in the glass to unfurl. There is a great sheen of class to the wine and the texture is silky perfection. Beautifully balanced but still very young, almost crisp with dark fruits and hints of bitter chocolate, fine herbs and cigar box. Poised to be a great vintage of Cheval but needs loads of time. 94+
