  October 7, 2014 - Reddish purple in color. The nose comes alive after about 30 minutes in the glass with aromas of pipe tobacco, ripe black currant jam, smoky dried herbs vying for attention. A very silky and elegant palate follows through with ripe cassis liqueur, black olives, hint of licorice, medium acidity and a long finish. This has aged quite wonderfully making for an interesting mouthful of wine.
