  November 22, 2014 - Altaya annual wine tasting (Hong Kong): Opaque, dark purple, with a muted nose at the current stage. Perhaps the wine is in its sleeping mode now. But the potential of this gem is unquestionable and it will be fantastic. With effort, dark sweet fruits, cassis, cedar, forest floor and mint are noted on the nose. And the palate, wow, big, rich, tannic, yet supremely balanced with fruit, acidity and silky texture. Finish is long and packed with plum and smoke. It will be a long while before this wine wakes up, and when it does drinkers will definitely be all smiles.
