  April 1, 2015 - After all the negative news about oxidized 2008 Leflaive wines I decided to open up this Batard early. Rather dark golden colour, mature oxidative tones in the nose. Apple, some citrus. A bit botrytis? Style of the Leflaive wine has changed compared to older wines, less reductive. Clearly grand cru, lots of concentration, length. Not much complexity, some minerality. Conclusion was: probably early oxidation. However one hour later the wine has changed. Colour less dark, nose no longer oxidative tones. Taste better, more complex and interesting. Difficult to rate, I have no idea what this will be like in a few years.
