April 2, 2015 - It's been about a year since we opened a bottle of this. Decanted it this time, and it really hit its stride after about 2 hrs open. Much better than the previous bottle. Black cherries and some liqueur with hints of vanilla, char, violets and a bit of alcohol (the alcohol was more apparent when the bottle was opened). Full bodied with good acidity and more dark sweet cherries on the palate. I really liked the pepper on the finish; this is still fairly tannic. It will be interesting to see what my last bottle looks like.

The winery lists this as 15% ABV, while the bottle lists this as 14% ABV. 60% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre.
