April 4, 2015 - Half bottle. Sweet ripe fruit, slightly tarry nose, no lack of freshness in spite of its 14.4% ABV, sweetish but well-judged oak; juicy palate, succulent even, ripe but also slightly drying oak tannins, nice body and intensity, good length. Not subtle or precise but attractive and satisfying. At Gott's Roadside, St. Helena, California, USA - directly accross the road from Merryvale Vineyards!
