  Color still very dark ruby -> medium ruby rim. Bouquet of cassis, minerals, chocolate and a whole pile of ash. Palate showed good fruit concentration but still a lot of chalky tannins. Still needs time--at least 2+ years more (that echoes what I said nearly 3 years ago). Volcanic ash, minerals, sour cherries and iodine blasting through the tannin cloak. Good acidity. Definitely more austere than its Cali cabernet counterparts. Great price but will it bring pleasure? Only time will tell . . . .
