June 13, 2015 - Dinner at Les Amis. Colour was brilliant, a medium purple red, signs of maturity, but with lots of clarity and some brightness. Very exotic and wild nose, gamey and lots of meat, minerals, soil, dirt and earth, but a good representation of terroir. There was lots of dark blue fruit, plums and red cherries. The slight hint of age was from the meat, earth and truffle. Lovely density and structure on the palate, again with lots of cherries, plums and blueberries, along with beef broth, scorched earth, barbeque, truffle and a touch of wood and leather. In a quite perfect drinking window, but with no signs of slowing down. Rousseau at its best again.
