June 28, 2015 - Dark ruby but translucent. Big cherry, jam, cigar box aromas initially. Took about an hour to open. Then out came the plums and more cherry, chocolate, cigar paper with a bit of cinnamon and leather. It changed quite beautifully. The texture was rounded creamy and opulent. It struck me as sweet. As the flavours slowly disappeared the tannins became dryer, more like wood chips than bark. Very satisfying.
