July 27, 2015 - Popped and poured, medium dark ruby. Moderate aromas of cherry fruits, raspberries, forest floor, subtle spice, subtle fresh herbs and an impression of minerals. Medium body, balanced acidity. Mirroring the nose, the palate again shows cherry fruits accented by subtle spice and a touch of the herbaceous. While mostly resolved, there's a refined chalkiness of tannins on the deceptively lingering finish which closes with a mild sweetness of fruit. Seems to have entered a decent spot for drinking, best now and over the next 3-5 years.

Quick comment: Interesting how completely similar my notes on this bottle show to my last from 2011. It seems like the main difference is the touch of smoke I had perceived back then has either resolved or disappeared.
