December 3, 2015 - HDH holiday tasting (Chicago, IL): From magnum. You gotta be kidding me. This is the stuff that all the "critics" have been trying to sling? The vaunted 2010: the Brunello vintage of the year/decade/century/millenium. Beyond the pleasant red fruit, what else is there? Spicy oak? Yeah, I love me some spicy oak.

12/3/15, 10:57 PM - 70 points for a baby with "pleasant fruit," low perceived complexity, and spiking or unintegrated oak...?? I guess at least it wasn't "a crime against winemaking."

12/5/15, 1:23 AM - I purchased a case of this and the Siro Pacenti 2010, both pretty much the same. On Suckling's recommendation. Tried a bottle of each side-by-side.
We were left dumbfounded, and basically poured both bottles down the sink. Undrinkable, tasted of cherry acid rain and oak. Bury for a decade and hope like hell, but I doubt these will be any good.
So, couldn't agree with you more!!!!

7/8/16, 8:45 AM - Since your score is at least 20 points below almost every other one here, did you ever consider that your bottle may have been flawed?
Then again, Brunello is not for everyone....
