  December 19, 2015 - Surprisingly more alive than anticipated. With a little air time, started expressing nuanced notes of dried fruit, herbs, earth, bitter chocolate. Also surprised by the level of acid & textural quality. This went well with pizza, not so well with the chocolate afterward. Had some heat on the nose that kept it slightly unbalanced, and is definitely on the downside, but is still enjoyable.
