April 4, 2016 - A unique wine, not for everybody and some will ding for its low acid. But with the right food (today a hot smoked salmon and fresh fava bean puree) really nice. Just starting to show some darkening gold color. Fresh on the nose, no oxidation. Oily nose with candied hazelnut, candied apricot and white flowers. Very ethereal on the palate and loaded with honeyed nutty fruit. Not for a dish requiring more acidity like oysters or such, but great with the right pairing (or alone)
