  January 5, 2008 - Acquired just released at the Castello di Volpaia and cellared in my private cellar in Udine.Nice purple colour with pale ruby rim, it exhibits an elegant nose full of life with black cherry,black pepper,vanilla, but the oak is still in evidence.Lively acidity in the mouth typical of sangiovese it lacks persistance.
  Overall this is a traditional well made chianti classico that respects the terroir.Un piacere con una fiorentina!!!!!!!!
