August 13, 2016 - Expected more from this wine. Fruit was softened but present. Slight licorice bouquet and palate also. Better than average wine but not by much. think it was at peak. But no harsh edges nor funky flavors. Wondering how better their 2010 is. Drink now.

10/10/16, 9:24 AM - I think the 2010 is better by a factor of 2, roughly speaking. The amount of work done in the vineyard between the two harvests adds up to a whole lot of progress, of getting in touch with the land. At least this is what I was able to walk away with after a few hours with the owner, just Roberto and I. His words aside, I can taste the progress they've made, and I believe these will continue to improve year over year - they're committed to quality and they've got the land on which to deliver that goal.

10/10/16, 7:23 PM - Thanks WS, just so you know, I haven't given up on this producer. to much good reviews both on CT and press. Would try again but perhaps drink at a younger age.
