December 3, 2016 - Marc Josten and Torsten Klein are new and exciting winemakers in the Ahr Valley. This winery was Gault Millau's discovery of the year in 2013. This wine is sourced from vineyards in Mayschoss and Ahrweiler. Unfiltered and aged in used barrels. 12.5% alcohol. Light ruby color. Aromas of wet slate. Well balanced with notes of minerals, smoke and dark berries. Subtle tannins with a round finish. 90-91 points.

3/16/17, 11:47 AM - I think your comments on the Kreuzberg and Josten and Klein rock you really have tasted a lot from this region! I have only really tasted a lot of entry level wines and some of the medium priced ones. Thanks for your excellent tasting notes.
