April 27, 2017 - This wine drank much younger than the vintage would indicate. Bright and vibrant green and yellow apples, poached pear, crushed sea shells, and chalk. With air, hazelnuts and nougat emerge. Given its higher dosage, this wine usually drinks "sweeter" than I typically enjoy in a Champagne, but the years have tamed the sweetness and allowed the fruit and terroir to shine. Very nice.

4/22/21, 2:48 PM - I still have a bottle of this. In 2017, did you feel it had some life left or was it on or past its prime? I don't want to open this for a dinner if there is a possibility it will be on its way down. In that case, I would open it up at home, maybe celebrating a NYE or something
