  January 1, 2018 - Decided to finally revisit - it's been a couple years since the last bottle. Dark red and black fruit - blackberry, dark currants, and dark cherry. Smooth mid-palate coupled with solid depth and nice flavors of dark berries plus a little spice. Decent finish but not overly long nor deep. Decanted for two hours and drank over another three. Improved with time. A nice wine but I guess I expected more in light of Galloni's rating of 95+. According to his review for WA, anticipated maturity 2020 to 2030 so maybe this vintage just needs more time for the fruit to fill-out some more. An interesting blend for this vintage: 76% cab sauvignon, 7% merlot, 7% petit verdot, 7% cab franc, and 3% Malbec.
