February 15, 2018 - feb 14 Valentines Day at El Gaucho Tacoma with Perla. Excited about this wine because I am a fan of funk and earthy aromas/flavors. This took funk up to another level, almost too much. double decanted for an hour, took a few hours for the funk to dissipate showing persistent fruit and casis. medium to full body. Neither the nose (rosemary and chicken s--t according to Perla) or the finish were very memorable. Went well with the food (Gaucho burger, French onion soup and Caesar salad.

7/19/18, 1:57 AM - Thanks for sharing your note! I am sorry to read that your GR 2000 wasn’t memorable. I had a few bottles and all were very enjoyable, and - being a fan of GR - I ended up buying another case. I hope your next bottle will show better! Cheers!
