March 19, 2018 - When I saw Matt Scott’s score, thought he might be getting carried away, but holy shit, not even. Profound. In the top few Carlisles I’ve had, and being my favorite winery, I’ve had a few. Blueberries in cream covered in milk chocolate. Plum, purple flowers, licorice, lead pencil, thyme, coriander, vanilla. Layered and long. Fine tannins, but polished overall. Amazing now with a decade or two to go. All hail team Officer and Maddox.
