April 5, 2018 - This is way sweeter than I am used to in a Cabernet, but it is finely tuned to carry it well. Beautiful spicy nose of raspberries, blackcurrants and cedar. The palate carries sweet raspberries, plums and blackcurrant, chocolate, vanilla, cinamon, cloves and nutmeg. The fruit is intense, but the balance is good. It has a bright acid profile and its fine tannins paint the mouth, driving a long and juicy finish. Not everyone’s style, but a real crowd pleaser that goes very well with roast meats, particularly fatty lamb. A wine for Winter.
